Beverlin Allen

PRESIDENT

PhD, MSN, APN

Greetings
I am excited to introduce myself as the newly elected President of the Jamaica Nurses’
Association of Florida, Inc. (JNAF) for 2024. JNAF is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that
has assisted socially deprived individuals and organizations in the community, the United States,
and worldwide for over 40 years. We are dedicated to upholding the dignity of all people,
respecting our clients’ rights, and promoting professional excellence in nursing.
To achieve our goals, we offer various forms of assistance, including scholarships locally and in
Jamaica, health fairs, community outreach programs, annual donations to charitable
organizations, and mission trips to Jamaica and other Caribbean islands. Our recent humanitarian
mission to Jamaica assisted over 3,000 people and donated medical supplies worth over
US$80,000.

We strongly encourage our members to continue their education and skill development through
workshops, seminars, lectures, and informal meetings. Improving our skills can benefit our
community and execute our mission effectively.

Our members come from diverse backgrounds, including healthcare providers, business
professionals, homemakers, personal and career development promoters, and networking referral
sources. We are an advocacy group that addresses both local and global issues. We welcome
anyone who believes in our values, vision, and mission to be part of our organization.
As we embark on this new journey, I would like to acknowledge the excellent work done by our
Past Presidents. I intend to use these building blocks as we launch into our exciting future. I
believe that with the collective effort of all members and supporters, we can attain our motto,
“Together We Achieve.”

Sincerely,

Beverlin Allen PhD, MSN, APN
